To stay on point, the GoodStuffReview is obviously about GoodStuff which sometimes means the GoodStuff is more than just GoodStuff.  When I find stuff that is not only useful, made with integrity, rugged but can also benefit a greater good it has to get posted!  WHY?

I was recently in Washington DC with my parents who are both still very alive and active.  My father is 86 years old and served in the Navy in World War II and we (meaning my wife, one of my sons and a student who is staying with us from Spain) went to DC to join him at his World War II reunion.  One of the stops that weekend was at the World War II Memorial.  We ( meaning all of us and now all of his World War II shipmates and some of their families) got on a bus that dropped us off for a ceremony where my father and his surviving shipmates held a ceremony.  The men that he served with that are still alive laid a wreath to honor their  brothers who had made the ultimate sacrifice and for those that had passed on.  I observed my father and his World War II brothers as if I was watching a movie or a Nat Geo documentary, it was surreal.  You could feel it and see in their faces a time and experience that was so powerful it cemented their souls together.  It was amazing to see that after so many years they still looked out for each other, joked and laughed like I imagined they might when they were young Navy Men.  And when it came time to say a prayer and keep their promise to Never Forget and they bowed their heads it hit me,  these guys, and not just these guys I mean all of the men and women who have supported our country whether you believed in the cause or not.  Deserve our respect and support.

That’s why.  Because it’s a small price to pay for those who have paid much more.  This is what makes Good Stuff Good!  I know I don’t have many readers (yet…) but imagine if a few of you stepped up here and showed your support and shared it on facebook, and then someone you know said “hey that’s cool what’s it mean” and then they bought a bracelet or a key fob and so on and so on.  Our collective support could make a difference and in doing so we would be saying “We won’t forget either!”

To buy a bracelet and other items to show your support click on the image ( Just so you know I don’t make anything on the sale of any of these products)  you can also visit www.woundedwarriorproject.org to see how other companies are showing their support and how your contributions are being used.  One last note on the bracelet – It’s really cool, it’s a safety rope that could actually save your butt, it can support up to 550 pounds and in an emergency it can be unwound to give you 16 feet of high strength cord.  It’s the real deal not just a fund raiser!

Just to show that I put my money where my mouth is below is a screen shot of my order confirmation

So…. if I have to admit a weakness, it would be cool watches. The Mack Daddy classic for me is the Rolex SubMariner. That is a freakin MANS watch, simple, classic, rugged and just screams I’m cool, I’m confident, I’ve got some cash. I had a one for a few years but unfortunately one of my other weaknesses are boats which stands for – Break Out Another Thousand…. Long story behind that watch and how I got my first boat which i’ll save for another time.
So back to the reason for this post – Hautelook.com is a Flash Sale site which by the way their seem to be no shortage of these days. But if you are like me and you like Watches this is worth a quick look: The Swiss Legend pictured below retails for $400 bucks, not huge money for some but still a good chunk of cash to layout for a watch. Go sign up for Hautelook it’s free (no brainer) and check out the Watch Blow Out Sale. This watch can be had right now for $92.00 bucks. I did not want to buy a watch today but my freaking Freestyle Tide watch cost more than that….
